About the Conference

February 13 - 16, 2008 at the Delta Lodge in Kananaskis Alberta

The Rocky Mountain Critical Care Conference (RMCCC) seeks to improve the care of critically ill patients by accelerating the translation and incorporation of new knowledge into clinical practice. This is done by facilitating communication and collaboration among the intensive care community in Canada.

Workshops may include, but are not limited to, quality improvement initiatives, consensus statements, innovations in medical education and the development of original research.

The RMCCC is intended for attending physicians, residents and nurses who practice intensive care. The focus of the meeting is on the synthesis and application of available information rather than on didactic sessions. All registrants attend the plenary sessions on Thursday morning and then break up into one of three concurrent working groups for Thursday and Friday afternoon. The goal of each group is to produce a specific end product, such as a consensus statement or research proposal. A report from each workshop will be made to all registrants on Saturday morning.
